I was approached by Patreon to create 2 cartoons in response to 2 Quips posted by creators on Patreon. For those who aren't familiar, Quips are Patreon's answer to short form public content, similar to a status update or a tweet. The idea for this project is to spotlight fun, out-of-context Quips, and pair them with an illustrator or comic artist who can bring them to life in a one panel comic.
The first quote "Everyone's always under oath, what about over oath or around oath for a change" cartoon showcases a courtroom scene with an obnoxious posed witness, one confused lawyer and an onlooking unimpressed judge. The second quote "It's a great day to circle back to touching base" points fun at this typical corporate jargon by showcasing an office employee frolicking in The Sound of Music-esque fields with rotating office iconography.
The cartoons will be posted on Patreon and their social media platforms.
16/10: “It’s a great day to circle back to touching base” and 6/11: “Everyone’s always under oath...”
